After completing my degree in Accounting & Finance, I decided that a career as an accountant wasn't for me. I wanted to put my financial and numerical skills to more practical use, and property and mortgages quickly became a natural fit.
I first became involved with mortgages and property in the late 1990s and began building my own property portfolio, buying, renovating and letting properties. This hands-on experience gave me a strong understanding of the property market and naturally led to a career in mortgage advice.
I've now been advising clients on mortgages for almost 30 years, combining my financial background with extensive practical experience of property ownership, investment and renovation. Property remains a genuine interest of mine - whether it's mortgages, buy-to-let, renovation, DIY or finding the potential in a property.
Over the years, I've helped clients with everything from buying their first home and moving house to refinancing and building substantial buy-to-let portfolios. I particularly enjoy finding solutions for cases that aren't always straightforward and helping clients navigate the mortgage process from initial advice through to completion.
For me, the most rewarding part is still helping people achieve their property goals - whether that's getting the keys to their first home or purchasing their tenth investment property.

After completing my Chartered Insurance Institute Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning in 2019, I began working with Simon, who had been my mortgage broker for many years and had helped me build my buy-to-let property portfolio.
I have a particular passion for helping first-time buyers navigate the challenges of purchasing their first home, making the process as clear and stress-free as possible.
Outside of work, I enjoy cycling in the hills around Brighton and playing tennis. I also lend a hand in my son’s independent vintage guitar shop, Outpost Music Exchange, in the North Laine area of Brighton.
